Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Concrete Field Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in commercial and industrial structural concrete, specializing in tilt-wall, foundations, and slab-on-grade.
In this role, you will provide strong on-site leadership to concrete foremen and field crews, driving productivity, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will oversee all phases of concrete work, including formwork, steel reinforcement, placement, and finishing.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Leadership: Direct and mentor concrete foremen and field crews daily to maximize productivity, quality, and safety.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Manage daily crew scheduling, logistics, subcontractors, and material deliveries.
- Plan Reading & Takeoffs: Accurately interpret structural blueprints/drawings and perform accurate field quantity takeoffs.
- Budget & Cost Control: Track project costs, material usage, and labor to ensure projects stay on budget.
- Quality & Safety Assurance: Oversee formwork, rebar placement, concrete pouring, and finishing to ensure strict compliance with project specs and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Site Management: Maintain effective time management across multiple site activities and clear communication with project managers and clients.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of hands-on field supervision experience in commercial/industrial structural concrete.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of tilt-wall construction, heavy structural foundations, and slab-on-grade work.
- Trade Mastery: Expert understanding of formwork, steel reinforcement (rebar/mesh), concrete placement, and finishing techniques.
- Blueprint Reading: Advanced ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
- Skills: Strong leadership, time management, cost tracking, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications (Preferred): OSHA 30, ACI certifications.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
